Good News for the Iberian Lynx

... it's not going to get a 300km motorway built through vital habitat after all.

This is astoundingly good news. The road would have gone straight through an area that connects the two main Iberian Lynx habitats. The Iberian Lynx is currently heading toward being the first big cat extinction since the sabre-tooth tiger 10,000 years ago - it needs all the help it can get.
